About Kasauli:
British found this hill station. Still has not got much presence over tourist map. Has not many sight-seeing places but if you a wanderlust and exploration-enthusiast, who loves to be alone in the singing woods then this place is for you. On your walk around the hills, it might be only for long time in off-season and if you love this kind of journey then this place is for you. But it does not offer much shopping options, fun availability or evening walk over mall road like in Shimla so beware before you plan your vacation here.
To Manki Point along Christ church, Gilbert trail and the Sunrise point:
This is one of the famous route in Kasauli and you actually will have two options to reach to the Manki point. Both the routes run North-South and are parallel. Route 1 looks over to the east part of the town and Route 2 to the west.
Points in the map:
A: Kasauli Main Bus Stand
B: Manki Point
C: Kasauli Brewery
D: Mall road
Route one: Start directly from the Bus stand towards Manki point avoiding all the local market and the mall road. This route passes in front of the Christ church and sunrise point. I preferred this route while going to the Manki point. This route offers the view of the hills to the east of Kasauli lieke sanawar.
Route two: Return from the manki point by Gilbert nature trail. This route offers views of the places west to the Kasauli. It also passes through Kasauli club, Kasauli brewery and finally through the mall road.
Christ Church:
It is situated closer to the Bus stand. It is made up of stone blocks. Christ Church has a castle-shaped clock tower beside it which is also seen in the picture below.

It is spread and has flower lawns and grass lawns in front of it. The glasses inside the church are stained and carry the pictures of Jesus, Mary and disciples. The Architecture of the Church is Neo-Gothic style. It is lightened in the night which is worth watching.

Sunrise point and view Points:
Along this route, there are many view points from where eastern part of the Kasauli can be seen. The walk to the Manki-point sometimes in off-season could be lonely because not much people go there and Kasauli is still an unknown tourist destination.
Along this route, the Famous Lawrence School at Sanawar can be seen and many snow-capped peaks of Lower Himalayas can also be seen in the summer. Dharampur and area around Dagshai can also be seen from here.
The walk to the Manki-point is leisurely and close to nature. Sometimes it would only be you and chirping of the birds, warm sun and whispering winds accompanying you.

Manki Point or Monkey Point:
It is the highest point in Kasauli and is situated at four kilometers from the Bus stand. There is temple at the top and this place comes under the protectorate of Indian Air Force. The last Entry stops at 5 in the evening and there is some ticket fee as well.

Kasauli Club is considered to be very prestigious among people. It has nice sports facilities maintained by Army staffs. It was launched by British people as recreational club in where only Royals were included and it still carries the same legacy for membership.
