A little bit about these places now.
Dakshinchitra
A traditional and unique heritage village which is keeping the traditional lifestyles of south India alive and depicting them at a single place along the ECR spreading over acres. DakshinaChitra museum is a cross-cultural museum which represents art, architecture, lifestyles, crafts and performing arts from South India states of Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
The main purpose of DakshinChitra museum is to promote and preserve cultural aspects of these south Indian states with rich culture and bring them in the public’s eyes. Dakshinchitra would be a perfect photoshoot place with antique and classy backdrop in traditionals

Mahabalipuram
Mahabalipuram is a small city located on the coromandel coast of the Bay of Bengal. Mahabalipuram is famous for the temples such as Panch Rathas Temples and Shore Temple. You will be amazed to know that Mahabalipuram has 40 ancient monuments and Hindu temples. The other names of Mahabalipuram are Mamallapuram, Mahamallapuram, Mallapuram and Mavalipuram.
Mahabalipuram has a lot of photography elements such as beach, nature, temples, rocks etc. Photoshoot in Mahabalipuram would be a perfect destination for different types of themed photography such as classical, spiritual, candid, modern etc.

Alamparai Fort
Once living its life full-fledged during Mughal empire, Alamparai fort was influenced by the French culture whose main centre have been Pondicherry, almost 50 Kms from there. it was gifted by the Mughal Nawab to the French Government. However later, a war between the British and the French was the reason of the destruction of the fort. Alamparai fort would be the right photoshoot choice with multiple themes including classical and modern

Plage Paradiso Beach
This beach is famous for golden sand-beaches with deep blue waters creating a magnificent sight for the visitors. After a long sunbath, you can also rest in the cool shades of the palm trees. Walking on the soft sand and the waves washing out the sands under your feet is an experience to be enjoyed.

It was a bad experience for me capturing photos at Express Avenue mall. Moreover I was just capturing random shots at crowds (nothing sensitive) it happened few years ago… the guards (and another person with a Walkie talkie apparently some security officer who thought himself to be a military commando/general) misbehaved to me in a rough manner pulling out my camera (saying no photographs allowed) forcing me to delete the photos from my camera as if I shot some photos in a military base. Thumbs down for express avenue and it’s crazy security officers…
They never stuck any warning stating no photographs allowed. Please follow some ethics – in US they have policy statements put up if photos were not allowed, if you don’t want people to shoot photos then have a policy statement put up or at least have a poster stuck stating no photographs allowed. Respect photographers!
I am really sorry for your bad experience.
Does shooting at these places need permission?
