Latest Google Products & Awesome Launches

Companies like Apple and Google are known for launching innovative products. Since I work in Search Engine Marketing, in any latest product launch by Google, I always see how clever the Google has been in collecting the data.

So, this blog post is not only about the awesome launches by Google but it also has some interesting things which I think are behind the scenes. Feel free to leave your comments behind.

Google Hire

Google has come up with again a smart solution to the Job Industry named as Google Hire. Speculations are there that Google will use the applicant’s Search Engine History for the Jobs recommendations. If that’s true, Google is surely going to give a tough competition to the LinkedIn in the near future.

Behind the launch

For sure Google will be using a personal search history of a particular user in recommending him the job. Such kind of audience is called as “In-Market segment” by Google. Moreover, Google also has data from top job sites such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Monster etc. as most of them advertise on Google.

Areo is a local service aggregator app launched by Google in India. Some industry people are relating this app with the Start-Up bubble in India. The start-up phase in India saw a lot of companies coming up in India. Being excited, we also downloaded the app, to our surprises, it has agglomerated a lot of start ups into one.

Some of the services that can be availed through Areo app are:

  • Food delivery
  • Beauty
  • Home maintenance
  • Repairs & Installation
  • Fitness
  • Chores & cleaning
  • Speciality services
  • Pest control

Related Images and Style ideas for Shopping

If you love shopping and you are looking for boots, Google has something for you. This is not a new tool rather an upgrade to the Google Image search. The idea is that along with the related images, Google will also show you related styled images which will enable you to imagine, how would you look in the new pair of boots.

Behind the launch:

Many think that Google’s artificial intelligence algorithm has used the website category, image alt tag in determining the related images and style ideas.

AutoDraw is a web based tool which assists people in drawing and refining their drawing skills. Autodraw uses machine learning and the artificial intelligence to improve the artwork. On the black canvas, you can draw something which is similar to what you might be looking for.

Google will relate that product to a perfect one and probably, what you were looking out for. In the beginning, Google might be using its database of clip arts and the Doodles to match your intention.

“Fact Check” tag in the news results

Many searchers have been doubting the Google’s ability to check the veracity of a fact. It also happened that many times that Google’s algorithm has failed and shown you a wrong result. To counter these things, Google has come up with the “Fact check” tag in the news result. In the result, you will see tags like “Facts checks by”, “claim”, “calimed by” etc.

Behind the launch:

Behind this launch is Google wants to collect data from the Apple users. I recently ran an ad for the iOS app download on Google. For some reason, it was unable to pick up because of the difficult targeting. When the ads were run on the Apple search ads, they performed far better. Google still lacks data about the Apple users. If this is so, this is a nice initiative by Google
