Road Condition to Chikka Tirupati from Bangalore:

The road condition is good from Bangalore to Chikka Tirupati. It goes along the national highway 648. It takes around one hour from Whitefield to reach this place if you are driving your own car.

Chikka Tirupati temple timings: 06:30 AM to 20:00 PM.

The Chikka Tirupati temple is open on all days of the week from 6:30 in the morning until 8:00 in the evening. You can reach the temple at any time of the day as there are four daily rituals at various times of the day.

Temple Facilities:

There is not any parking place near the temple. So, you might have to park the vehicle on the road or nearby vacant areas. As on April’2017, the temple was under construction. Also, there are not any washrooms nearby. There are some local shops outside which are more like tea stalls. Unlike Tirupathi, this place does not offer much shopping scope.

Temple rituals:

Just the entrance, you will have to open the footwear. There will be ladies selling flowers and Prasadam there. You can buy it from them. At Chikka Tripathi, the coconut has to be offered in a pair. One coconut is devoted to Lord Vishnu who is worshipped as Venkateshwara and another coconut for his consort Lakshmi as Alamelumangai.

There is a queue system at the temple. Before offering the Prasadam to the lord, you will have to break the coconut, light up the camphor at the coconut breaking area. Then you will have to do a Parikarma of the temple. You can then give the Prasadam to the priest.

Some people say that CHikka Tirupati is just like Tirumala Tirupathi. The only difference between the idol of the god is that in Tirumala Tirupathi, the idol’s blessing hand is downward while in Chikka Tirupathi, it’s upward which people think as special.
