Ramanagara Bike trip from Bangalore:

One of the closest, at around 50 km from the city, can be a strong competitor when planning for a one-day road trip from the Garden city. The place is renowned for its sericulture and is nicknamed Silk Town & Silk City.

Ramanagara

Iconic scenes of movie Sholay were shot in Ramanagara. Activities like rock climbing, caving and visiting the silk handlooms are offered here. Ramanagara is believed to be the place where Rama and Sita stayed during their exile and the place has a Rama temple called Ramadevara Betta which witnesses many pilgrims during the year. There is also a very famous lake in the Ramanagara where you can go for boating.

Bike trip to Savandurga from Bangalore

Savandurga is considered to be one of the largest monolith hills in Asia and is a frequent place for rock climbers, pilgrims, cave explorers, adventurers, and picnickers. And the good news is, it is not that far from the Bangalore, just 50kms from the city.

One could either take the Mysore Road or the Magadi Road to reach Savandurga. Going for the Savandurga trek is recommended for a great experience and watching the sunrise from the bird’s eye view will be a treat for your eyes for sure!

Close to 65km away, Nandi Hills is one of the closest road trip destinations from Bangalore. The place is not just famous among bikers and car enthusiasts but also among cyclists.

Anthargange

It literally means, “The Ganges from the deep”, in Kannada. Located 70 kilometers from Bangalore and close to the town of Kolar, around 2 miles from the Kolar gold fields; the place is an adventure haven due to its peculiar rock formations. The place is best suited for Caving & Mountaineering. Anthargange can be reached via road by taking the NH4 from Bangalore.

Mekedatu falls bike trip from Bangalore

Mekedatu means goat’s leap in Kannada, is a perfect road trip destination and is at a distance of 90kms from Bangalore city. Since rivers Arkavathy and Cauvery join here, it is also called as the Sangam. The area is in close proximity to Chunchi Falls and upstream on the Cauvery is the famous Shivasamudra Falls.

Mysore

Mysore or Mysuru is tagged as the Cultural Capital of South Karnataka due to the presence of palaces, which are of historical significance and magnificent buildings of cultural importance. It’s the third largest city in the state of Karnataka.

Few of the well-noted attractions of Mysore include but are not limited to Mysore Palace; a World heritage site, Brindavan Gardens; India’s most beautiful show garden, Chamundi Hills, St. Philomena’s Church and much more. The drive to Mysore is around 150kms, but the combination of NICE road and the state highway makes driving a pleasure.
