Jug Island hike in Belcarra Regional Park, Vancouver

Jug island beach hike is one of the easiest hikes near Vancouver in Belcarra regional park near the Indian arm. The jug island trailhead starts from Bedwell road and finishes at the northern tip of the Belcarra regional park at the Indian arm.

Jug island hiking in details

Jug island hike starts from the hiking trailhead. Initially, it ascends little bit in the beginning then it descends as well. Towards the end, nearer to the jug island beach, there is a stretch of descending for almost half a km.  The place from where the descent starts has a very beautiful descent point called Bedwell bay viewpoint

The trail has stairs and gravel path and is easy as a short day hike. You can relax on the beach; play with your dogs and come back after spending some time.

After finishing the hike, you can return to the Belcarra picnic point and spend some time there as well in the park. It has got a very long stretch of beaches and there is also a trail along the beach to the Cod rock and beyond. This place is very photogenic and you can capture birds, people, beach, sky, water, nature in your camera.
