There are not good hotels or restaurant after Tumkur towards Siddara betta. So, it’s better to buy something or have breakfast in Tumkur itself. At the Siddara betta foot hill, there are some small shops available where you can have some packed snacks water and pooja items only.

At the top, there is a temple and a cave. A natural spring is coming in a dark cave there. The temple will be closed by 5 PM. If you have mobile torch, that will be helpful in entering the cave. Also, If you are taking some handbag, eatables with you, take one stick also to keep monkeys away.

Siddara Betta temple & Cave:

you have to climb bare foot so better to keep the shoes in the car. The climb to the main temple is steep and slippery. Once you reach to the Siddara betta temple, you can also take bath there, it’s very refreshing. Do not stop at the temple. Ask the local shop guys for a guy and hike further to the caves.

The caves are pitch dark so carry the flash light there. From the caves, the trek to the top is fairly easy and flat. It will take you another half an hour from the temple to reach the top. The top is spectacular. It is huge area full flat. Old Fort which has now been taken over by nature. Two ponds are there with very clean water.Views from there is simply great. You can see all the mountain chains nearby. Also the last 30 Kms is through the rural area.
