Karnataka Ecotourism is planning to issue a green passport to the trekkers around trekking areas near Bangalore. It will help the department in monitoring the regulating the treks. When a trek is completed, it will be stamped by the forest department.

09-06-2017: First-Ever Full Moon Festival Going on in Andhra Pradesh
The first-ever full moon festival is being organized by the APTDC at Orvakal near Kurnool over 9th June weekend for 3 days. This festival is called Eruvaka Purnima, a local festival celebrated by farmers to welcome monsoon. Organized over 200 acres of land, accommodation will be provided in three categories called platinum, gold and silver with ticket priced accordingly in the range of Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 5,000. Special AC tents have been brought from Rann of Kutch Gujarat.
